The grief is so immense.
A physical ball of pain deep inside.
Yet I find you all around.
Your presence fills up my eyes with your love.
Humbling my heart, for you are everywhere;
and I shall walk with you forever.
The grief is so immense.
A physical ball of pain deep inside.
Yet I find you all around.
Your presence fills up my eyes with your love.
Humbling my heart, for you are everywhere;
and I shall walk with you forever.
If you found my Diamond ring,
You’d feel lucky enough to sing.
If you found my Diamond ring,
Three wishes would I grant to thee.
If you found my Diamond ring,
Grow old you’d do.
For each wish you’d make
ten years would I take,
and my brother, Death, would awaken
and in the night you’d be taken,
never be mistaken,
For greed, indeed is a sin
As is wasting life.
One life gone in the blinking of mine eye.
If you were unlucky enough to find my Diamond ring
you’d run dear, run.
This poem is one of many in my poetry book, ‘Return of a Whistle’ now on Amazon, head over and search R.J.Dunning to buy your copy and help support new authors.
They the flowers that fall,
who gave their all.
Petals scattered upon the winds of time.
Be they mine, or thine,
Nay, the World be large, full of fear
and belongeth to on one.
leaves float, do not gloat
until the ground they reach.
Gold Gilded
Pink floral, bloodbath, wasted.
upon the floor they lie,
left there to die
for do not try, to help
Rebirth, regeneration
be at hand, if only we strive for more.
For man doeth not make war for peace,
he maketh war to win,
and this must go on, no more.
Gold gilded,
pink floral, bloodbath, wasted.
If we do not act now
then no more shall we be
and upon the floor they lie,
just, left there to die.
I’m Chasing the Wind,
to the edge of the Earth,
Up and around
the curvature.
On my own Adventure
I dare to venture,
Out of my comfort zone.
This is peace
Here I go now, searching
ever onwards
up and around,
the curvature of my Earth.
I’m Chasing the Wind
all alone I go
I have no need of another
All alone I go
I am my child
Reborn
never born
born of fire and flame
I am my child
so wild
free and ever searching
I’m chasing the Wind.
I’m Floating,
On an ocean of stars.
This place is bizare
I open my eyes
and there you are.
Dream catch me,
I’m falling
Through clouds on high,
Is the end nigh.
Am I awake.
Dreaming,
ever sleeping.
Flying through the air
I see a net,
surrounded by feathers.
Dream catch me,
Or I shall never wake.
I could fly here for eternity
utter freedom shall be mine,
ever divine.
In Dreams we become who we were born,
Anyone or no one at all,
It does not matter,
Dream Catch me
or else I wont come back,
Today, Tomorrow, or never at all
just watch me fall.
Hello. First of all I want to say thankyou, I have gained quite a few new followers on Dreadibek. I hope you like my poem, inspired by the Dreamcatchers that I have started making. I have not posted on here for a month, mainly due to my Dreamcatchers, I have started making and selling them. I have an Etsy shop now called, you guessed it, Dream catch me. http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Dreamcatchmeco . I have only just opened it so there isn’t much on there as yet, I intend to stock it well over the next two weeks, I can do customs so if you want anything send me an email. I also make and sell Journals, Junk journals and memory books. Everything is made from recycled materials, paper, card, feathers, shells all found in nature. I hope it goes well. Another thing I have been busy with is my novel. Its been well received by my Editors and I am on my second round of edits now, working hard to turn my passion of writing into a career. The third reason I have not been posting much is that I have applied to University. I have been working on my Ucas and admissions essay, all sent off now thank god. All being well I’ll be studying come September, doing a History Degree. So excited. I will be travelling again at least once a moth so should have loads of fresh new poems to post on here, Will be trying to post at least once a week. Here’s more pics of a Dreamcatcher I made.
Defence.
If you want to go,
then just go.
It’s your own right, if you want to.
Although
It’s not going to get you anywhere.
To long for the end,
be up and round the bend
Is it better,
to just burn out
or fade away?
I fake a smile,
so run a mile.
My dead eyes stare
I just don’t care.
Scratched wrists
balled up fists.
The monsters are out in force
you don’t care, of course
for some monsters live within.
Sometimes they win.
White pills
make you still.
Time heals all wounds,
time takes away all pain.
For my heart is sore,
I want no more.
I tried to turn the corner,
only to find,
there are no corners.
It’s the last great adventure,
If you shed a tear,
it’s not because of fear.
It’s all lies,
“It gets better”
“Everything’s ok”
It’s all lies.
In my Defence
it was all a pretence
Once you’re gone
you cant come back
