High Protein, Low Fat.

If your ever stuck for time and are starving, you can whip up this super tasty, high Protein meal in less than five minutes. I used Multigrain, five grains rice, the microwave in two minutes pouch, Salad leaves, salsa, homemade guacamole, some cooked broccoli, tomatoes, cucumber, olives and falafels on top. Gorgeous and fully Vegan. ‘Vegan food is life’.

I recently went to the Writers Festival and did some poetry there, this is one I wrote. One of the speakers told me a lovely quote. ‘Poetry should not mean but be.’ I like that.

Body of moving Water

Tree’s sway in the breeze,

A stone of light wakes in the sunrise.

The Earth moves,

and the giver of life is awoken.

Deep breathing.

Where does the river flow?

Misty spray from the waterfall,

and the taker of life is awoken.

The welcoming wave of flowers,

Wolf’s howl in the woods.

A thick scent of dew on leaves.

The burden of life is to heal.

Beautiful blue, grey eyes.

Kind, forgiving, sparer of life.

The earth breathes,

and the water dreams of freedom.

Vegan Breakfast.

This morning I made vegan protein pancakes after a good session in the gym. They have only four ingredients and are super yummy and filling. The protein powder I use for this recipe is bulk powders complete vegan blend. My favourite is the chocolate peanut one.

Recipe.

40g oats.

1 mashed banana.

Almond or soya milk

1 scoop of vegan protein powder.

mix together then heat a little coconut oil in a frying pan and cook. This mix makes four pancakes, I like to serve with fresh berries and a dollop of peanut butter, and a big pot of coffee with chocolate soya milk. Yum.

First blog post

This is the post excerpt.

This is my very first Blog post, so I have Dreadlocks, mine are organic/Freeform/Natural whatever you want to call them. Basically I just stopped doing anything to my hair over a year ago, no brushing, no conditioning. I still wash my hair but I use a dreadlock shampoo about every ten days or so. When I started my dreadlock journey my hair was at the top of my waist, now its shoulder length, so I’m hoping now for it to start growing longer.

As this is my first Blog ill add a poem in. Enjoy

Beauty and the Beast.

I went to war.

There, I was thrown to the floor.

When I came home,

I entered through a different door.

I was no longer me.

I was a different girl.

Deformed body, Scarred face.

Ugly outside,

And that made me ugly within.

Alone and Isolated,

Spiteful and Resentful.

I came back hating the world,

And all the people in it.

Then you came along.

Entered my bitter and twisted world.

I don’t know how you got through my barriers.

But you, saw through my ugliness,

You saw my heart,

And I saw yours.

You were just a girl,

And I an acrimonious girl,

With no heart, or so I thought.

You found the love within me,

Buried deep down inside.

And you, with your love, brought it out.

You made me beautiful again.

Inside, and that shines through, outside.

From your love a seed was sewn,

And a new life re-grown.

Now I am whole again,

And our life will begin,

Once upon a time…….
